The Tasting Room, Yakima: wines : Wines of Washington
Crabapple pink Wilridge Vineyard
harlequin claret

2005 Claret

The 2005 Harlequin Claret is a wine reminiscent of left bank Medoc Bordeaux.  Bright aromas of blackberry, cherry, cassis, pencil lead, damp earth and mocha are framed by toasty oak, toffee and barrel spice.

harlequin syrah

2004 Syrah - Sundance Vynd

This rich and fulfilling Syrah opens with aromas of blackberry syrup, raspberry, leather, au jus and barrel toast. In the mouth is displays flavors of berry fruits, spice and cream, balanced with supple tannins and acidity.

MD Brut

1999 Brut

This is a blend of seventeen base wines from the 1999 harvest that were fermented in French oak barrels.  A rich and creamy wine with tiny bubbles and a toasty, nutty flavor.

harlequin chardonnay

2006 Chardonnay

From the oldest block in Washington's Grand Cru vineyard comes this lovely rich and balanced Chardonnay.  Aromas of mandarin orange, apple tart tatin, wet stone and mineral precede flavors of orange, mango, hazelnut and spice.

NVH Reisling

2010 Riesling

Welcome to this intensely aromatic example of Riesling from NHV for 2010.  Please enjoy the rich tropical fruit nose accented with hints of that Riesling "petrol." Juicy fruit gum, banana, passion fruit, papaya and mango fill the mouth upon entry.  And we hate to think what they do upon exit.  Who writes this stuff?

Wilridge Generic Label

2006 Nebbiolo di Klipsun

Dark brick red in color.  The aroma is classic Nebbiolo, with violets and rose petals in the nose.  This wine is powerful and finishes with strong tannins, indicating long aging potential.

Wilridge Generic Label

2008 Red Mt. Melange

The 2008 Red Mountain Melange aroma is redolent of cassis and herbs.  It exhibits good structure and the capacity to age for many years.  Old world in style but still with the indelible mark of Red Mountain terroir.

2009 Cabernet Franc

Now this is dessert in a glass! Pear, peach, apricot and some light citrus notes fill your senses as you partake in this fine example of a late harvest dessert wine.

MD Rose

Brut Rose

This Brut Rose was made in the traditional French "saignee" method.  The Pinot Noir grapes were crushed and allowed to sit on thier skins for 14 hours. This gives the wine its unique vibrant bolor and complex taste.

Wilridge Generic Label

2006 Merlot

This is no wimpy Merlot, but a structured red from one of Washington's most prestigious vineyards.
